This Postigo (wicket gate) was one of the access points opened out of the necessity to gain entrance between the main gates of the wall. Its present appearance dates from the18th century. The outer arch, towards the walkway, is crowned by a niche that contains a modern image of Saint Anne with the Virgin and Child. The inside is made up of a series of beautiful brick rowlock vaults, characteristic of Caceres.
