This is a beautiful palace located outside the wall, in a very pleasant square. It occupies the site where the synagogue of the New Jewish Quarter stood, which was converted into the Chapel de la Cruz. The present building was built in the 16th century, in the Renaissance style, with mannerist details such as the bolstered ashlars of its facade and medieval traces such as the Gothic details or the patio. Its owners were the Blazquez-Mogollon, Marquises de la Isla.

Recommendations: Run by the City Council, this is now a very active cultural centre.Displays of both local and non-local artists are held here. It also houses the recently created Biennial Exhibition of Engravings.
